seriously, wtf happened to rock? i'm only 14 but i love listenin to music made way before i was born. Jimi Hendrix Experience, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Sex Pistols, Guns N Roses, The Doors, The Dead Kennedys, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Alice In Chains, Jefferson Airplane- just a few bands n singers that had talent and deserve to be called music. rock, folk, jazz, blues, reggae, metal, avant garde, grunge, punk, classical music- that and more passes off for music, but now pop and hip hop and rap has polluted mainstream music. jonas brothers, miley cyrus, justin bieber, t pain- just a few shitty "artists" that are so famous even though they have no talent. how did this happen? what the fuck happened to real music? with a few exceptions like The White Stripes, Billy Talent, Marilyn Manson, Band of Skulls and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, mod music sucks. ass. S - thanks for that. i'll definitely check out Bauhaus and Leatherface :] fool in the rain- thanks, i'll try to look beyond the mainstream. whatbtbob- i agree with all that! its all simple bullshit. its all about money and looks. not about the sound. dead ghost- stop being an ass. im not trying to be arrogant or snobby, im just referencing some bands n stuff that actually had talent and sounded good. you gotta have some kind of talent to place music, otherwise any asshole can just pick up a guitar and play. thats what happened here. besides, if you don't care, don't post an answer. btw im not an 'elitist.' i just happen to enjoy music thats not teenybopper. - thanks for your answers ppl ;] nice to see that other people hate the bullshit thats topping the charts nowdays....
